May 2024 super geomagnetic storm.
During May 2024, a series of eruption events on the sun saw the largest geomagnetic storm hit Earth in two decades. The largest since the solar storms of Halloween 2003, it occurred from May 10 to May 13, producing aurorae as far south as the Canary Islands off Africa, the Florida Keys in the United States, and the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico.

April 4, 2024 - Took me a decade to get red Mr. Cardinal against the white snow. There was little light but still a fun photo. I hid under a white blanket for two hours. Cardinals scare off easily. Last snow storm of the year. No zoom lens, no filters, no photoshop. Just manual mode. It was a hard shot, for me at least.

April 8, 2024. The total solar eclipse happened in my brother Tom's home town of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue in the west island of Montreal. Where Tom used to play. At this exact same time my brother Tom's wake in Dunning, Perthshire Scotland took place. The last eclipse in Tom's home town was in 1932. The next eclipse here is in 2106. The Universe took my younger brother Tom and then made its presence.
