STOP
This twelve track album was recorded over the span of twelve years. During this time I lived in Scotland, Poland, France, Africa and was lucky enough to have traveled the coast of India twice. A lot of influences, textures, sights, smells and situations to say the least. Seeing so much made me realize the importance of just stopping. On this album I also try to step out the boundaries of genre and explore as much as possible. To travel you don't have to actually go anywhere. Just spend time with people you don't normally associate with.

BASSICS
This album focuses on using only the bass guitar. Using multiple tracks and layers I was teaching my self harmony, melody, chords, rhythm etc... on the bass. When I was about 14 years old I learned to play bass using the Jaco Pastorius VSH instructional tape. Jaco said we should try to learn all instruments on our one chosen instrument.

Chilled BG
This album is a compilation of chilled out songs I have record over the years. A learning process. I always try to remember that "the song is king". I love Willie Nelson and Pasty Cline's music. That music has it all. On this album you can hear me learning how to play music. That's OK.

The Bass Guy Show Album
Where do I start. The Bass Guy Show was a happy accident (yeah baby). At the height of my "career" I was gigging all over the UK and teaching at many colleges and Universities. Then my back gave out and over the span of five years I had two major back operations leaving me with permanent spinal chord injuries. While healing and getting strength back I started to record more music. Then an old friend suggested to me that I try streaming live bass playing from home. So I did. Before I knew it people from all over the world were supporting my efforts of trying to make a public access style show. Kind of like Wayne's Worlds TV show from the basement. On this album you will hear many fake adverts made by the actual viewers of the show! How interactive is that! The show is still live streaming to this day (over 1000 shows) every Mon. Wed, Fri at 1pm est on BassGuyShow.com

Open Day
This was a spontaneous recording in a brand new studio in the center of Glasgow City in Scotland. The owner picked up the phone and called in some musicians to celebrate the opening day. So it was a party with a small audience and was a lot of fun. The drummer Ric was a good friend I worked with for many years. He is from London and specializes in more modern music styles like 'drum and bass' and electronica. This opened up my world in many ways and made music fun all over again. I lived in Glasgow for about ten years and it was there I was taught jazz, blues, pop and folk music by many good friends and artists.

Ionian Sea
A collection of my first self made recordings. Warts and all. My first few years back in the UK and Europe during my twenties. I spent many years living in different countries, going back and forth trying to find my feet. I'm a slow learner but never give up. Teaching myself to record music with no budget at all taught me how to listen and make do with what ever was available at the time. One thing I love is love long form music and melodies like Ravels Bolero. Most of this music was a learning experiment. To me that's more fun than having something "perfect".
